MultiSenseHeat

The Project “Multisensory evaluation of urban heat mitigation measures” is a 4-yrs PhD-project in close collaboration with Umwelt- und Gesundheitsschutz Stadt Zürich. In particular, the project situated at the intersect of research interests of multiple groups of the OCCR cluster "Climate, Cities, and Health" aims at:

  1. expanding the expertise in multimethodological, holistic urban thermal comfort assessments by novel combinations and intercomparisons of subjective (i.e., survey-based perceptions of environmental comfort) and objective approaches (e.g., outdoor eye-tracking, mobile micrometeorological and acoustic measurements, stationary monitoring networks),
  2. gaining crucial insights about the effectiveness of urban heat mitigation measures for practitioners (i.e., blue-green infrastructures ), and
  3. strengthening direct  collaborations with key stakeholders of urban climate change adaptation.
