Concerning an extension of period of study, the following shall apply:

A request must be addressed to the directorate of studies of Geography before the end of the regular study period
The directorate of studies decides about the first two semesters exceeding the regular period of study (BSc 8 semester / MSc 6 semester). The Dean decides about any further extension.
Semesters in the BSc- and MSc-program are counted separately, i.e. the number of semesters needed for the BSc does not have any influence on the number of available semesters for the MSc.

Failed exams, Erasmus exchange, or studying at the PHBern (teacher education) are not accepted as reasons for extending the study period!
