I am currently working for the H2020 project REmote Climate Effects and their Impact on European sustainability, Policy and Trade (RECEIPT). RECEIPT aims at identifying and quantifying vulnerabilities of the European socio-economic sector to climatic events occurring outside Europe. In brief, my goal is to assess the economic impact of tropical cyclones hitting the South East US and the Caribbean islands using the open-source probabilistic natural catastrophe impact model CLIMADA and, together with partner institutions, assess how these direct impacts may in turn affect the the European financial system.
