In my master's thesis, I am studying the life cycle of heat extremes in the northern hemisphere by using a Lagrangian feature-tracking algorithm (ConTrack). This algorithm allows me to identify and track positive temperature anomalies. To illustrate this, a figure depicts an example from summer 2022 over Europe where you can observe the yellow contour representing an identified anomaly as well as its track indicated in grey.
