Field course in urban climatology
As an in-depth exploration of the topics of boundary layer meteorology and urban climatology, which are offered as lectures as part of the Bachelor's programme (Climatology II), a one-week field course is held with a small group (10-16) of interested students from the Master's programme. The course focuses on the application and evaluation of urban climatological measurement and analysis methods, as well as on climate adaptation measures in urban areas. The course will take place partly at GIUB and partly in Bern and the surrounding area from 10 to 14 June (including Saturday morning at GIUB). Participants will need a bicycle.
Target group: Master's students in geography/climate, prerequisite: course ‘Climatology II’
