Areas of professional focus
Remote sensing and spatial data analysis to study and understand coupled human-environmental systems. Specific thematic interests: spatial monitoring and assessment of invasive plant species, land use intensification, land degradation and the loss of natural habitats. Specific methodologic interests: advanced multi-tempral image processing, classification and analysis techniques that allow for “big data” processing; species distribution modelling.
