CV

Johannes Kronenberg is a PhD researcher at the Critical Sustainability Studies group and the Centre for Development and Environment, focusing on an "Appropriate Anthropocentrism" and the intersection of sustainable development with the contributions of anthroposophy to this field. He is furthermore part of the Goetheanum Leadership in Dornach, Switzerland, and co-leads its Section for Social Sciences*. Born in 1991 in the Netherlands, he earned a Bachelor of Arts, including the Honours Programme in Fine Arts and Theory, from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem, the Netherlands. He later completed a Master of Science in Sustainable Development at the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden and pursued further advanced studies in sustainable development at the University of Bern. He has spent the past seven years at the Goetheanum as a researcher and coordinator, including in its Section for Agriculture, and previously worked for organisations such as Green Cross Netherlands and as a research assistant at ArtEZ University of the Arts, as well as serving as a board member of the social capital venture Iona Foundation in Amsterdam.
