Within the framework of the EU Horizon JustREACH project, my research examines the potential of social learning videos (SLVs) as an arts-based and participatory methodology for climate adaptation. SLVs are designed and co-created with community leaders, businesses, citizens, and regional authorities to communicate adaptation measures aligned with just resilience and the just transition. By privileging visual storytelling over verbal narration, SLVs aim to make tacit knowledge visible, foster social learning, and integrate behavioral insights into community-led solutions in the five pilot sites of the project: Athens, Greece; Zagreb, Croatia; Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France; Belfast, United Kingdom; and Lake Constance, Germany. This research also contributes to broader debates on the epistemological value of audio-visual methods as tools for participatory knowledge production and environmental communication.
