The transdisciplinary research group «Labour and social-ecological transitions» explores the numerous interrelations between labour and the processes of co-evolution between the societies and the ecosystems by addressing some core research questions. What would a more sustainable use of resources involve in terms of the way labour/work is perceived, institutionalized and practiced? What are people’s motivations and values to engage in environmentally responsible professional labour activities? How do asymmetrical power structures determine worker’s ability to reconcile moral values (ecological or not) with the fulfilment of their needs?
