The group contributes to the BSc and MSc in geography, the Specializes MSc and PhD Program of the Graduate School of Climate Sciences, and the international Swiss Climate Summer School.

Teaching focuses on:

  • Interactions between lakes, atmosphere and catchment; this coupled system is regarded as a model for the interactions between continents, oceans and the atmosphere at global levels.
  • Physical, chemical and biological processes in lakes; sediment formation
  • Lake sediments as paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental archives

Lecture classes, field and laboratory courses and excursions are listed on ILIAS and KSL.

Bachelor and Master Thesis projects are typically carried out in ongoing research projects. Please contact Prof. Martin Grosjean.
