Our research team is concerned with understanding processes of globalisation and sustainable development. In particular, we are interested in the role different forms of (im)mobilities play in the context of education and work; governance and access to ressources, as well as social and societal learning processes. By adopting a multi-scalar perspective, we contribute to inter- and transdisciplinary debates about the production of social inequalities and unequal power relations. The regional loci of our research projects are South and Central Asia, South America as well as Germany and Switzerland.
